aan onze professionele dienstverleners, zoals accountants en advocatenkantoren;
met kredietinformatiebureaus en organisaties die zich bezighouden met het voorkomen van fraude bij financiële dienstverlening;
met onze regelgevende instanties om te voldoen aan alle toepasselijke wetten, voorschriften, regels en verzoeken van wetshandhavende, regelgevende en andere overheidsinstanties;
we kunnen in gebundelde, statistische vorm niet-persoonsgegevens over de bezoekers van onze website, verkeerspatronen en websitegebruik delen met onze zakelijke partners, gelieerde ondernemingen of adverteerders;

Om privacyrechten te beschermen en ervoor te zorgen dat u controle hebt over hoe wij marketing met u beheren:

zullen we stappen ondernemen om direct marketing te beperken tot een redelijk en gepast niveau en u alleen communicatie sturen waarvan wij denken dat die interessant of relevant voor u kan zijn;

PERSOONSGEGEVENS WERELDWIJD OVERDRAGEN

In dit gedeelte vindt u meer informatie over:

· de regelingen die we hebben getroffen om uw persoonsgegevens te beschermen als we deze naar het buitenland overdragen.

WES opereert wereldwijd. Uw persoonsgegevens kunnen daarom worden overgedragen en opgeslagen in landen buiten de EU, waaronder de Verenigde Staten van Amerika, die onder verschillende normen voor gegevensbescherming vallen. WEX zal passende stappen ondernemen om ervoor te zorgen dat de overdracht van persoonsgegevens in overeenstemming is met de toepasselijke wetgeving en zorgvuldig wordt beheerd om uw privacyrechten en -belangen te beschermen. Overdrachten zijn beperkt tot landen die worden geacht voldoende rechtsbescherming te bieden of waarvan wij geloven dat er voldoende alternatieve regelingen zijn ingesteld om uw privacyrechten te beschermen. Daarom:

zorgen wij ervoor dat overdrachten binnen WEX worden gedekt door een overeenkomst die wordt gesloten door leden van WEX (een overeenkomst binnen de groep) die elk lid contractueel verplicht om ervoor te zorgen dat persoonsgegevens overal passend en consistent worden beschermd tijdens overdrachten binnen WEX;
waar wij uw persoonsgegevens buiten WEX of aan derde partijen die onze producten en diensten helpen leveren, overdragen, verkrijgen wij contractuele bevestiging van hen om uw persoonsgegevens te beschermen. Sommige van deze garanties zijn erkende certificeringsregelingen zoals het EU-VS-privacyschild voor de bescherming van persoonsgegevens die vanuit de EU naar de Verenigde Staten worden overgedragen;
waar wij verzoeken ontvangen van rechtshandhavingsinstanties of toezichthouders om informatie, controleren wij deze verzoeken zorgvuldig voordat persoonsgegevens worden bekendgemaakt.

U hebt het recht om contact met ons op te nemen voor meer informatie over de veiligheidsmaatregelen die we hebben ingevoerd (inclusief een kopie van de relevante contractuele verplichtingen) om te zorgen voor een adequate bescherming van uw persoonsgegevens wanneer deze worden overgedragen zoals hierboven vermeld.

HOE WE PERSOONSGEGEVENS BESCHERMEN EN OPSLAAN

Beveiliging

We implementeren en handhaven toereikende technische en organisatorische beveiligingsmaatregelen, beleidslijnen en procedures om het risico van onopzettelijke vernietiging, verlies of ongeautoriseerde openbaarmaking van of toegang tot dergelijke informatie te beperken volgens de aard van de betreffende informatie. De maatregelen die we nemen, omvatten het instellen van vertrouwelijkheidseisen voor onze personeelsleden en dienstverleners; het vernietigen of permanent anoniem maken van persoonlijke gegevens als deze niet langer nodig zijn voor de doeleinden waarvoor deze werd verzameld, of versleutelen van niet actief gebruikte persoonsgegevens waar systemen dit toestaan.

Opslaan van uw persoonsgegevens

We zullen uw persoonsgegevens opslaan zolang dit redelijkerwijs noodzakelijk is voor de doeleinden waarvoor deze werden verzameld, zoals in deze kennisgeving wordt uitgelegd. In sommige omstandigheden kunnen we uw persoonsgegevens voor langere tijd opslaan, bijvoorbeeld wanneer we hiertoe verplicht zijn conform de wettelijke, regelgevende, fiscale, boekhoudkundige vereisten.

In specifieke omstandigheden kunnen we uw persoonsgegevens voor langere tijd opslaan, zodat uw transacties nauwkeurig worden geregistreerd in het geval van klachten of uitdagingen, of als we redelijkerwijs geloven dat er een kans bestaat op geschillen met betrekking tot uw persoonsgegevens of transacties.

Voordat we de gevraagde persoonsgegevens aan u bekendmaken, kunnen we u om aanvullende informatie vragen om uw identiteit te bevestigen en vanwege veiligheidsredenen. TRANSFERRING PERSONAL INFORMATION GLOBALLY

WEX operates on a global basis. Accordingly, your personal information may be transferred and stored in countries outside the EU, including the United States of America, that are subject to different standards of data protection. WEX will take appropriate steps ensure that transfers of personal information are in accordance with applicable law and carefully managed to protect your privacy rights and interests and transfers are limited to countries which are recognized as providing an adequate level of legal protection or where we can be satisfied that alternative arrangement are in place to protect your privacy rights. To this end:

we ensure transfers within WEX will be covered by an agreement entered into by members of WEX (an intra-group agreement) which contractually obliges each member to ensure that personal information receives an adequate and consistent level of protection wherever it is transferred within WEX;
where we transfer your personal information outside WEX or to third parties who help provide our products and services, we obtain contractual commitments from them to protect your personal information. Some of these assurances are well recognized certification schemes like the EU – US Privacy Shield for the protection of personal information transferred from within the EU to the United States; or
