WEX Europe Services Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our team. You will part of the Commercial Team who are responsible for ensuring that the business achieves its revenue targets.

The Commercial Analyst will initially be based at our Crewe Head Office, with the flexibility to work from home 3 days per week. In April 2022, we will be relocating to state-of-the art offices in Manchester City Centre.

An additional resource is required for 18 months Fixed Term Contract due to upcoming major projects (system migrations), and provide support for the projects: –

  • Provision of data to support key strategic and tactical commercial decisions across all countries of operation
  • Design and implementations of revenue initiatives
  • Management of revenues by country/business stream
  • Support of Sales teams and in country customer service and account management teams
  • All adhoc reporting

There is a requirement within the team to add additional analytical resource in order to facilitate focus on sales performance, volume with a particular focus on revenue growth.

You will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of critical business data to the Executive Leadership Team to enable business decisions to be made. Working with sales managers across the different countries of operation to deliver the revenue objectives of the business. To ensure that business objectives relating to the management of customer attrition are achieved by working closely with the Sales & Marketing functions. Responsible for the management of sales volumes and margin across all countries by working with the Commercial & Product Director.

The role may require some travel to our European offices.

  • Gathering of reporting requirements, analysis, and production of reports to meet requirements
  • Analysis of monthly sales and margin performance reports
  • Driving through tactical changes within the customer portfolio to ensure that revenue objectives are achieved
  • Providing in depth reports to key stakeholders on business performance with relevant insight accompanying statistical findings
  • Support Commercial function in delivery of adhoc tactical analysis alongside regular forecasting and budgeting
  • Creating reports for Commercial Meetings/Board Meetings as requested
  • Working with the in-country teams to regularly review and update the sales process
  • Liaising with other internal departments such as sales, operations and marketing to deliver decision orientated analysis and insight to support commercial needs
  • Gain a deep understanding of the business, particularly pricing and commercial conditions across all countries the business operates in
  • Develop understanding of all aspects of customer pricing, and provide cover for UK customer pricing processes
  • Provide support for system migrations
  • Develop business intelligence reports in Business Objects
  • Ensure reports are accurate and timely


  • Track record of working in an analytical role
  • Track record of demonstrating commercial acumen and driving revenue improvement resulting in increased margin
  • Knowledge of working with multiple data systems (business objects, Access, Excel)
  • Advanced user of analysis software including Excel, SQL, Access and Powerpoint
  • Prior experience in fuel card industry preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing numerous deliverables at the same time
