EAMONN TIERNEY

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Eamonn Tierney joined us as Managing Director in April 2019 with a vision to build on the business’ stable platform to become Europe’s biggest fuel card supplier.

Prior to joining WEX Europe Services, Eamonn was Managing Director for a Credit Bureau, Marketing and Software business who have grown to be second largest of its kind nationally. Previous to that, Eamonn has over 20 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services, where his most recent title was Head of Business Development for Europe.

DAVID QUINNELL

GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR

David, a practice trained Chartered Accountant and an experienced Finance Director, joined WEX Europe Services in January 2019.

David has spent the last decade in senior finance and commercial positions within the facilities management industry. He joins WEX Europe Services from ISS, where he led the successful integration and growth of a complex pan-European acquisition. With this wealth of experience, David is a key figure in streamlining financial operations across the business to enable future growth.

Peter Dore

COMMERCIAL & MARKETING DIRECTOR

Peter has worked in the fuel card market for over 10 years, in his role at WEX Europe Services and previously for another of the industry’s biggest players, overseeing commercial activity across the UK and Europe.

In 2014, before the business acquired the Esso Card™ portfolio, Peter joined the business as Commercial and Marketing Director; bringing with him a sharp commercial focus. With his substantial experience in portfolio management, Peter has been a key part in helping the business achieve stability and in creating a platform for growth. Peter remains a crucial figure in leading the business’ future commercial and marketing activity.

SIMON SHAW

CREDIT DIRECTOR

Simon has more than 20 years’ experience in Credit Management, Credit-Risk and Commercial Collections in the UK, European, US, Asian and MENA markets.

Simon joined WEX Europe Services in October 2014 when the business first acquired the Esso Card™ portfolio. Leading both the central credit function at our head office, and credit agents across Europe, Simon has played a significant part in honing the way we operate to give our customers the best possible experience. Specifically, that includes improvements in the way we work across the Fraud, Collections, and Vetting functions.

KATIE TURNER

LEGAL DIRECTOR

Katie Turner is an English qualified lawyer specialising in corporate and commercial work. Katie has led the Legal team of WEX Europe Services since 2014, and played a huge part in establishing the legal side of the business as it is today.

Before joining WEX Europe Services, Katie worked as part of the commercial team for a regional law firm for many years, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions. Katie’s knowledge and experience are fundamental in leading the business through the ever-changing legal landscape, particularly in Europe.

LAURA PIERCE

HR DIRECTOR

Laura joined WEX Europe Services in October 2019, and is a global HR Leader with a strong strategic background. Through previous roles, Laura has gained extensive experience of managing global HR transformation projects in fast-paced private equity and venture capital backed growing organisations to her role at WEX Europe Services as a joint venture. As European HR Director, Laura is responsible for Human Resources at our head office and across Europe.

As the business grows in line with its future plans, Laura forms a pivotal part in leading our personnel strategy to meet the changing landscape of our products and services.

JASON STANTON

CUSTOMER SERVICES DIRECTOR

With more than 20 years’ experience, Jason Stanton is experienced in driving customer satisfaction at a number of leading technology and utility brands, as well as driving real change in his current role at WEX Europe Services.

Bringing extensive experience in leading customer service initiatives across the world, Jason has made key improvements across the Customer Services department since joining the business in 2018, such as reduced response times and the launch of Live Chat in many countries. Jason forms a vital part in shaping how we can continue to improve customer experience at WEX Europe Services.

LINDA THURSTON

CUSTOMER RETENTION DIRECTOR

With customer engagement and retention being a key focus for WEX Europe Services, a new Customer Retention Director role was created in 2019.

Linda Thurston was the perfect fit, having lead customer retention initiatives in payments, financial services and telecoms. At WEX Europe Services, Linda develops customer retention strategy, working closely with all areas of the business. Linda focuses on driving customer satisfaction and building long-lasting relationships with customers of all sizes across Europe. That extends into ensuring our ways of working meet the needs of customers; to enable us to deliver on our customer commitments and make WEX Europe Services the clear choice.
